Christine Kim, Employer Partnerships Advisor

Christine is the daughter of parents who immigrated from South Korea. Her mother’s side of the family first resettled in Astoria, NY before moving to Southern California.

Christine received her Bachelor of Social Work from New York University and her Master of Social Work from University of Pennsylvania. Her professional interests revolve around the issues of “home” – resulting in work experience in affordable housing, homelessness, co-sheltering of humans and animals, and immigration. She was previously the Director of the NYC Mayor’s Office of Animal Welfare under former Mayor Bill de Blasio, and she is currently serving on the board of directors for the nonprofit My Dog Is My Home.

She spends her spare time experimenting with Korean fermentation recipes and playing with her exceptionally beautiful and intelligent cat.
