  • Congratulations to our 3 Spring cohorts who completed the LEAD and LEAD for New Moms professional development program this month!
  • Thank you to our partners at AWARE for treating a number of our LEAD graduates to a half day of professional branding, shopping, and beauty with Lord & Taylor.

Other news, in brief:

  • We held a powerful public speaking workshop at the International Rescue Committee’s NYC office with a group of 11 immigrant women.
  • New Women New Yorkers was invited to the Consulate General of Mexico twice in May. Our CEO, Arielle Kandel, took part in a panel discussion held during the first Binational Week of Education, and we led a professional development workshop for the ABCD Parent Ambassador Summit.
