2019 was a year of incredible growth for New Women New Yorkers (NWNY). By expanding the reach and scope of our programs, we’ve made a difference in the lives of hundreds of immigrant women. Over two-thirds of graduates of LEAD, NWNY’s main workforce development program, secure a meaningful job within six months of graduation. In 2020 we plan to further expand our workforce development programs for immigrant women. Do your new year’s resolutions include finding a purposeful job?A good way to start your search is enrolling in LEAD! This winter, the program will be offered at the Queens Jackson Heights Library and Brooklyn Central Library. Submit our online enrollment form here, and attend one of our LEAD Info Sessions:

On January 22, our community mixer brings yet another chance to reflect on personal aspirations and resolutions for 2020. We will kick off the year with some goal-setting activities. We will also strengthen our bodies with Olympic athlete Fleur Maxwell. An immigrant from Luxembourg, she had an award-winning career as a figure skater. Fleur Maxwell is also the creator of Body by Fleur, a full-body fitness method designed to enhance muscle memory, strength and balance and to achieve a toned and graceful body. Sign up here.
