September News: Kicking-off fall LEAD series, and new storytelling cohort with The Moth

I hope you had a wonderful end of the summer and Labor Day weekend.

At New Women New Yorkers we are excited to kick off soon our professional development fall programs, including 2 new LEAD series and 1 new LEAD for New Moms series with The New York Public Library and The Northern Manhattan Improvement Corporation. We also welcomed yesterday our new cohort of storytellers enrolled in our training program with The Moth. Save the date of October 15 for their only public performance at LMHQ in downtown Manhattan! More information and ticket sale will open up soon.

Professional development programs

Elevator pitch, resume writing, informational meeting, job interviews – Our participants were able to practice and meet with professionals from the finance, marketing, tech, nonprofit, and other fields, at our Job Search Practice & Networking event on August 14.

 

“This program is something I need to be confident with myself and because trying to find a job is really hard as an immigrant. Thank you.
